Why This Story?
With over 20 years of experience as an educator working with countless children, I’ve witnessed the profound impact that stories and literature can have on young minds. The goal of this story is to inspire children to see themselves as change agents who can make a difference. What I love most about this book is its ability to inspire courage in readers of all ages.

In Together We Stand, best friends Alanna and Alexander excitedly join forces for Hightower Elementary’s first-ever 5th-grade science fair. But their excitement dims when classmates begin to criticize their partnership, focusing on their differences and doubting their ability to succeed together. Feeling hurt and frustrated, Alanna and Alexander take a courageous stand, addressing their class to share an important message about unity, respect, and standing up for what’s right.
